This week we meet Valerie of Mommas Moolah....great to meet you Valerie!!
Describe yourself in 5 words - Quiet, loyal, supportive, intelligent, giving.
Why did you begin blogging? - I had started using coupons to help stretch our budget. We were tired of never having food or personal/household care items. I quickly got hooked on using coupons and kept posting on my facebook when I'd find good deals. Friends and family started bombarding me with questions and I found myself typing the same things over and over. My blog was born because my fingers were just too tired to keep typing the same thing multiple times. I was already doing all the work, so I figured why not just put it in one centralized location for them all.
What is your all-time absolute favourite food? - Wow, this is a hard one! There are several foods I adore totally, but all time favorite? Enchiladas!
If you had $1000 to spend on anything in the world, what would you spend it on? - Typical Mom answer, I'm sure, but I would definitely spend it on my 3 kids first. Things have been tough financially around here for several years and that means Christmas and Birthdays are skimpy. I'd make it up for it but going through their Amazon Wish Lists!
What was the last book you read? - I used to be an avid reader. My daughters got me into several different series but I haven't read in a while and they are complaining because I am way behind. I think the last one I read was "Fallen" by Lauren Kate.
If you could trade places with any other person for a week, famous or not famous, living or dead, real or fictional. with whom would it be? I've been sitting here trying to think of an answer for this one and so far I am blank! There are alot of people I admire, fictional characters included, but to trade places? Oh, ok, I got it! I would LOVE to trade places with one of the people who won that mega lottery a couple of weeks ago! It would be fun to know what that felt like!
If your life could have a theme song, what would it be and why? I'm a Survivor by Reba McEntire
Thank you Tasha! I totally forgot to explain why that song is my life's theme song. Being diagnosed with Andersen-Tawil Syndrome 6 years ago after suffering for several years and searching for answers my world was turned upside down. At the time I was the Patient Care Coordinator for a local Hospice and I loved my work. Being a hospice RN is still where my heart is even though I can't work any longer. I definitely have my Momma's will and stubbornness and I am blessed with God's amazing grace and I'm learning to live with ATS and all it's limitations and uncertainties.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the opportunity to share my blog and story with your readers!
You're more than welcome!! I was happy to have you :o) I have to say that Enchiladas are up there on my favourite foods list!! YUMMO!
ReplyDeleteFor those who don't know, Anderson-Tawil Syndrome is a very rare genetic condition that affects less than 100 people worldwide. It causes muscle weakness, arrythmia and developmental abnormalities and I cannot imagine what it would be like to live with so Valerie, you are one strong and determined woman; where others might consider Andersen-Tawil Syndrome a burden, you live your life to the fullest and raise yor 3 children to the best of your ability and I think that is very comendable!
Thank you so much, I am touched at your kind and beautiful words!
