Simple Fabric Hair Bow Tutorial

This a very simple and easy thing to make with those leftover scraps of fabric you might have around the house!

What you will need:
2 x 15cm by 18cm fabric scraps
Matching thread
Sewing machine
Small length of matching ribbon, any size about 4 inches long.

Im using a nice blue and green floral fabric for this tutorial and a pale blue cotton for the reverse side of the bow.
1. Place fabric right sides together and sew along the edge leaving an inch gap for turning. Trim.

2. Turn right side out and fold the raw edges of the opening in; press. Topstitch around the outside.

3. To make the bow, turn your work over so the back is facing up, fold it in half horizontally and hold the centre in your fingers as shown above.

4. Flip work over right side up, still holding the centre. Fold one side of the bow down towards the centre like an accordian. Repeat on the other side of the bow.

Your bow should look like this
5. Run a few stitches over the centre of the bow to secure it. Hot glue your ribbon over the stitches and wrap around. Glue the end down and you're down! How quick was that!

You now have a sweet bow to add to a headband, a hair clip, your handbag, your pets collar or anywhere you like!
